Progress Report: Kathryn Hits Onederland!

My wife rocks.

Today is an awesome day and I really can't even put into words how proud I am of Kathryn.  After tons of hard work, sweat, and lots of tears with all she has been through this year, my awesome wife has broken out of the 200's!  She's officially lost 75 pounds and hit 199 on the scale!  She has been working her tail off lately to get over that hump and saw the fruits of her labor today.

When Kat and I met just about 10 years ago she was under 200 pounds.  Then she started dating me.  Then she went to college.  Then she started living with me.  Then we got married.  Yes, I partially blame college for helping her become overweight and unhealthy.  She is at fault as well, no doubt.  But at the end of the day, I have always felt to be highly at blame for her ballooning up much too close to 300 pounds.  I can't tell you how many times I talked her into going out to crappy restaurants to eat pizza, fried chicken, desserts, etc.  So to see her come this far and know that I helped get her here takes a huge load off my heart.

It has been a crazy year as I have mentioned before in other blogs.  We have come so far in our own health this year while losing people close to us.  Nothing hit harder than Kathryn losing her father earlier this year to a heart attack.  It was a very rough time and is still rough every day.  At the same time, it opened her eyes just to why she was doing this and why she needed to take care of herself.

Next for Kathryn is to lose 25 more pounds and hit the 100 lost club.  Then she is only 15 pounds away from her goal weight.  Her and I have an agreement where we are going to get re-married once we hit our goal weights so we can have new wedding photos were we aren't fat.  It is going to be a glorious day!

My wife rocks.  She has been here for me every step of the way and I really do not know if I could have done all this without her at my side.  I love you Kathryn.  Congratulations and keep up the good work.
